Indian IT industry is shining and that that is why the need for high speed Internet is increasing in India. Now Korean giant, Samsung is looking to provide high speed internet service in India. I am quoting from a report of Zee News:
“Korean major Samsung eyes Indian telecom operators to sell its high-speed wireless broadband which will enable both fixed line and mobile operators to offer a broadband speed of two mbps to end customers.
The service -- Wibro Wireless Broadband -- which will offer an user a download speed of 2 MBPS and an upload speed of 1 MBPS will require spectrum allocation in certain bands 2.3 GHZ to 2.5 and 3.5 GHZ which is the band for Wi-max services.”
India’s Telecommunication Department has already allocated some bandwidths to the Wi-Max. The internet speed in Wi-Bro will be four times faster compared to the speed of internet provided by ADSL cable.
Yesterday, I was going through an article titled “Lowdown on offshored medical transcription” posted in the HIPAA Compliance Journal. Here I came to know that, at present, India is the largest destination for off shore medical transcription. It makes 220-240 million dollars per year from this Industry. This has given me an idea that how well India is doing in various outsourcing services. The backbone of the outsourcing Industry is the internet infrastructure of the country. So, Indian government should take proper steps to introduce faster and cheaper internet services to the people.
