The Indian Aviation Ministry is most probably, at last, allowing Kuwaiti airlines to take to fly 1,300 adenoidal passengers every week. On Wednesday, ministers of both countries held a meeting regarding the issue but they did not make any final decision. Kuwaiti amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah recently visited India and he pushed for this matter to the Indian government. Now, India and Kuwait are on the verge of signing an agreement about this matter.
Right now, Kuwait Airways operates in India and it can take 5,200 passengers from India every week. If the agreement is finalized then the extra 1,300 passenger will be carried from India by Jazeera Airways, a low cost carrier.
India’s civil aviation industry has been in business since 1953. Until the 1980s there were only two national carriers: Air India and Indian Airlines. In 1990 India opened up for private airline companies. Kuwait airways at present lands in four Indian airports- Chennai International Airport, Indira Gandhi International Airport, Cochin International Airport, Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
Will this agreement be good for India? Yes, because India has become a very attractive business center for foreign businessmen and one of the major conditions to attract business people is to have good means of transportation. In addition, Indian workers have good demands in abroad especially, in Middle Eastern countries. Every year, hundreds and thousands of people from India are going to these countries. Last but not the least; the private airlines will hire people from India to run their operations. So, new jobs will be created.
