![]() If you are in India, I am sure many times you can hear this question. Indian entrepreneurs are great in UK, UAE and even in USA. However, until now, there has been no significant comprehensive research to find out the answer of this question. The Monitor Group, in collaboration with Business Standard, has recently carried out a survey about this matter. You can read a detailed report in the website of Business Standard. In the report you can find some areas which have been termed as 'Relative strengths' while some others have been classified under 'Areas for improvement'. After going through the report, I felt that the Indian government has to improve the business environment in the country. Administrative burdens and transaction costs are among the major problems for the Indian entrepreneurs. Indian government needs to focus on good governance.
At the same time, Indian government has to allocate more resources for improving infrastructures. For example, when an entrepreneur wants to open a business then he/she should be able to get facilities like electricity, water and telephone without any delay. However, in India, entrepreneurs have to often waste their time on these things instead of making themselves busy on the actual business activities.
Do you agree with me?
