Eight Reasons Why Passive Spiritualism is becoming a Big Business
If you have read the previous entry of this blog, you already know what I am talking about it. In case you have not read it or you do not want to read it, I am just repeating in a nut shell what I have said there. By passive spiritualism, I meant watching to spiritual channels in television with all the comfort of modern lifestyle. It is becoming a billion dollar industry in India and in the west it is already a very big industry. In this entry, I like to state the reasons for this explosive growth of passive spiritualism as an industry.
1. Many people have by nature attraction towards religion but the modern lifestyle is not very conducive to religion. So, they search anything related to spiritualism and TV channels are cashing in with programs religion and spirituality.
2. Most people do not have time or scope to practice spirituality and that is why television is a good source.
3. We are more and more getting habituated to passive lifestyle due to the advancement of technology.
4. To the young generation, spiritualism is often similar to an exciting fashion and cool thing. In fact, in India, now spirituality channels are trying to attract the young generation more and more so that advertisers would feel more attracted.
5. Modern lifestyle with full of modern instruments take away the emotion from our life and creates a vacuum in our heart. Passive spiritualism helps us to feel some better for the time being.
6. Modern life is full of psychological stress and watching programs on spiritualism helps us to forget them for few moments.
7. People who have finished their professional life and have retired from their work often feel emptiness as they do not have any work to do. Spiritualism helps to keep their mind busy.
8. Yoga is an ancient system to help the body and mind. So, naturally, programs related to yoga have a lot of viewers.

If you have any other idea let me know in the comment section. You may feel that I am portraying passive spiritualism in a negative way. I believe that in this modern life spiritualism can give us momentary peace and calm from the too much stress that we suffer. However, I really wish that we all become active participant in spiritualism. We should read great books ourselves and contemplate on the teachings of great philosophers and scholars. We should also try to implement some of their teachings in our own life.

Enough of spiritualism. Let us come back to real life and back to business. If you want to use your brain to do better in your job and business then I strongly recommend you to be a regular visitor to the blog, BrainBasedBusiness of Dr. Ellen Weber. You can be benefited as much as you can get benefit from watching spiritual programs.
