![]() Google has already made its mark through Adword and now MSN feels that it wants a pie of the Internet ad market too. Microsoft has already entered into this market in USA and now it is targeting India. MSN India is now planning to introduce Adcentre services in India within June 2007. I found a report in DNA Money about this matter and I am quoting from it:
"Bindra, who is heading the MSN initiative in India, says, over the next few months, Windows would launch several of its “live” initiatives, like Windows live mail, Windows live messenger and Windows live search in India.
……………………………………….
“India has become a big market for Microsoft and is probably the only country outside the US, which has all its six divisions. We have a clear mandate to become the number one in the internet space,” Bindra, who is now busy doubling his team, says.
Not willing to talk revenues or investment figures, all Bindra is willing to reveal is msn.co.in is a profitable portal."
It is nice to know that MSN's Indian based portal is a profitable one. The good thing with Microsoft is that the company has very strong presence in India. It will surely give MSN India an edge over Yahoo and Google with Adcentre.
What do you think?
