Indian economy is shining now. Many foreign companies are now coming here with direct investment while outsourcing of IT related works is going on full swing. On the other hand, Indian companies are trying to excel in foreign countries. Thus, Indian economy is getting exposed to the economies of the developed countries more and more these days. Marketing skill is a must to survive and flourish in the free market economy. I feel that Indian workers have to excel in it. For this, Indian government, trade associations and universities need to join hands and arrange quality education and training on marketing.
India is heavily dependent on the service sector as China is shining in the manufacturing sector. I feel that the need for better marketing professionals is more in the servicing industry.
