![]() There was a time when India and China were among the richest nations on earth and European countries tried to come to these two countries for having good business. Columbus wanted to discover a route to China and India and he ended up discovering USA. Well, the last one hundred years have not been rosy for these two Asian countries as they were very poor. However, with continuous high economic growth now this scenario is changing and again western countries are getting interested about them.
India and China both have got accelerating economic growth rate. So, they have become attractive place for investors and business people. Their vast markets have brought multinational companies in the quest of making good profit. Now, it is the turn of American counties to cash in. And one US County is going ahead with this idea.
Prince George's County officials have planed to open offices in Shanghai and Bangalore. In one hand, they can attract more wealth for their county from India and China. On the other hand, they will be able to help their firms and businesses to have a global presence. Prince George is the first County in Maryland which tries to have an office in China and India.
I think soon other counties will follow Prince George's officials' plan.
