![]() One of the problems of foreign companies in India is that they often target big companies. They often overlook the immense potential of small and medium business (SMB) sector in India. With the positive continuous growth of Indian economy SMBs are becoming a very attractive market segment. Take the case of IT peripheral market for SMBs in India. It has become a market of over $1 billion. Hardly anyone noticed until now that this market is so huge. Realizing the immense potential, Xerox India has decided to pursue this market very aggressively from now. I am quoting from a report of Business Standard:
Seeking to grab a significant chunk of the estimated Rs 6,400 crore small and medium business (SMB) IT peripheral market, Xerox India (XIL) has devised an aggressive strategy, which includes increasing all India presence by 10% this year.
The company launched eight products today."
Xerox India is going to increase its presence in many cities of India. This is a good initiative by the company. In addition to this, I would suggest Xerox India bosses to focus on two things. Firstly, the company should ensure stronger after sales service. Then, it should forge stronger partnership with banks so that SMBs can buy their products on easy installments.
