In the rich countries, outsourcing is gradually becoming a political issue. After the broadcast of The Data Theft Scandal, the opponents of outsourcing have now got a deadly weapon- the security issue. Australian companies have started to outsource and the number of outsourced jobs to India is increasing fast. Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, has now come in support of outsourcing. I do not know whether it will become a major issue or not in the next general election but surely John Howard has to support outsourcing for the time being.
Zee News reported:
“Amid the outcry over Australian businesses outsourcing processing of sensitive customer information, Prime Minister John Howard today said offshoring has to be accepted as part of the globalised world.
Just as this country wants the advantages of globalisation, so it should be that it must accept that part of the globalised world is a much freer flow of information," Howard said in Parliament”
John Howard is right. Rich countries cannot just expect to enjoy all the benefits of globalization alone. It is the rich countries who advocate free market economy and often impose this concept of poor countries.
What is your idea about it?
