China and India both are the emerging economic giants. Now, the companies of these two countries are trying to spread themselves in the foreign countries. However, the interesting thing is that Chinese companies are coming to India in large number but not Indian companies going to China.
I saw a report in Financial Express that China Chongqing Yuan Innovation Technology Group is now seriously thinking of setting up a motorcycle plant in India. I am quoting from the report:
“China Chongqing Yuan Innovation Technology Group, a China-based firm, is exploring the possibility of setting up a $10 million plant in India to manufacture motorcycles and spare parts, a company executive said.
The company located in Chongquing, considered as southwest China's commercial capital, was currently studying the Indian market and investment climate, its Deputy General Manager Zhang said here.”
If the project goes ahead then nearly $100 million can be invested.
I wish Indian companies could learn from their Chinese counterparts.
