![]() Yesterday, I wrote about sending of jobs to India by Qantas Airways of Australia. Now, St. George Bank (the fifth largest Bank in Australia) is doing the same. Business Standard reported:
“Australia's St George Bank is planning to transfer jobs to India.
The bank is following the lead of Westpac, ANZ, National Australia Bank and Qantas in shifting as many Aussie jobs as it can overseas, media reports said.
The bank has already told 80 workers at its Kogarah collections office that their jobs will be moved to India, and more jobs are expected to be axed.”
Good news for Indian companies. Indian government and NASSCOM both should now become careful about making the best of the opportunity in Australia. More emphasis should be given on data security. I think that other Australian companies will send more jobs to India in near future.
