![]() UK-India Investment Summit is going to take place tomorrow. The prime ministers of these two countries Tony Blair and Manmohan Singh are expected to attend the summit. UK ruled India for nearly 2 centuries. There is a strong political and cultural tie between the two countries but economic ties are not that strong. There is a lot of room for growth. According to a MoneyControl.com report:
“Despite all the friendly activity between India and Britain, only 1% of British trade is with India, and only 0.5% of British FDI goes to India.”
Hopefully, this investment summit will increase the interest of British companies about India. British companies are outsourcing their jobs to India but they are not investing directly that much here. The presence of the prime ministers of the two countries will help.
You can get more information about this summit in the website of British government.
