The ascendency of India as an economic world power

Indian auto market is growing very fast. So, most of the auto companies are enjoying the benefit of this growth. Daimlerchrysler AG officials have now something to celebrate in India as the sale of the company has doubled in India in 2006.

Automobile manufacturer Daimlerchrysler AG has doubled its sales growth in India in 2006 and is bullish about its prospects and exploring the domestic market for opportunities, senior company executives said Wednesday.

Daimlerchrysler India's CEO and managing director Wilfred Aubur said the company sold 2,121 units in India in 2006, a growth of 11 per cent over the previous calendar year.

"We have doubled our sales growth. We are happy with the growth," he said. "We see huge growth potential in India."

Indian car industry is expected to witness a huge boom by 2010. It is nice that Daimlerchrysler AG is doing nice in India. The company needs to focus more on advertising. It should also focus more on other South Asian countries.
