It’s election time in Indian state of Punjab. Political parties give all kinds of gifts to the voters to attract them to vote for the parties. Money is of course the most attractive thing for millions of poor Indians but due to strict monitoring of the election commission officials and media, giving cash is not a good thing to do. So, many political parties for giving liquor. Their goal is to get a vote for a few bottles of liquors- not a bad bargain at all. However, Nihang Singh, Nihang Singh and Nihang Singh have started a campaign against liquor. Yes, these three persons have the same name and now they have the same mission. They are traveling from village to village to motivate people not to accept liquor as a gift.
NDTV reported:
All three go by the same name—Nihang Singh, and have been pedaling from village-to-village to campaign against the 'votes for liquor' menace in the villages.
The trio plans to cover at least 100 villages in Bathinda district by the time it goes to polls on Tuesday.
"Those who drink are usually carried to the polling station. They don't even know whom they are voting for," said Nihang Zora Singh, one of the campaigners.

I wish that there were some more people in India like the trio. Really, poor people. When there is too much poverty, the meaning of democracy becomes limited to casting a vote for a few bottles of liquor.
