"The Board of Control for Cricket in
India is yet to receive Chandra's proposal," Modi told The Associated Press. If the proposal is received, the would look at whether the organizers want to be part of the BCCI system or organize a breakaway series, he said.
"A parallel series would not be allowed," Modi said. The BCCI allows some private groups to organize cricket matches in the country.
Modi also said the participation of Indian or foreign players would require approval from cricket authorities in respective countries.
On Tuesday, Chandra said the new format would have a total of six teams — each comprising four foreign, two Indian and eight young players.
Chandra didn't give the names of the players who would play for his group, which would have an initial corpus of 1 billion Rupees (US$21.73 million, €16.27 million).
However, he also said he did not want to act against the BCCI.







Let the Zee to break the monopoly of BCCI.
