Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly are undoubtedly the two best batsmen in Indian cricket team. Indian selectors decided to drop them from ODI squad for Indian tour of Bangladesh 2007. Until now, no explanation has been given about this decision. Even, we do not know who took this terrible decision. BCCI President Sharad Pawar has stated that he did not take that decision.

Times of India reported:
Ahead of Team
Refusing to interfere in the selection process, Pawar said instructions were given to selectors to choose 20 players instead of 15 with the idea to give opportunity to youngsters.
I am not happy with what Mr. Power has said. If BCCI really did not want to drop Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly then why MR. Power did not ask the selectors to rectify their mistake and include Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly in ODI squad.

Dump both of them and that will give some more opportunity as u can see that after Bangla series some more young talents will ditch because these two.
