The ascendency of India as an economic world power

Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly are undoubtedly the two best batsmen in Indian cricket team. Indian selectors decided to drop them from ODI squad for Indian tour of Bangladesh 2007. Until now, no explanation has been given about this decision. Even, we do not know who took this terrible decision. BCCI President Sharad Pawar has stated that he did not take that decision.

Ahead of Team India's upcoming tour to Bangladesh, BCCI President Sharad Pawar said in an interview to a private news channel that no instructions were given to selectors to rest Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly from the ODI squad.

Refusing to interfere in the selection process, Pawar said instructions were given to selectors to choose 20 players instead of 15 with the idea to give opportunity to youngsters.

I am not happy with what Mr. Power has said. If BCCI really did not want to drop Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly then why MR. Power did not ask the selectors to rectify their mistake and include Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly in ODI squad. India lost against Bangladesh in World Cup match last month. So, Indian ODI squad needs players like Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly to fight against in form Bangladesh cricket team.
