The ascendency of India as an economic world power

AOL’s new portal in India is nice. I liked the homepage. In the home page, you can find the latest news about India and the world. I also liked that AOL gave importance about two things- Bollywood and Cricket. Indians are crazy for Bollywood movies and cricket. Even politics has to take a back seat.

AOL is famous for its good coverage of local cities. In its portal for India, AOL is trying the same. Today, AOL has featured Kolkata. This is something that can put AOL ahead of others in India.

What I don’t like about AOL’s portal is that AOL is not focusing on delivering unique contents on Bollywood and Cricket. It is just collecting some news items and videos from other sources and then putting in its portal. This strategy might not help AOL to flourish in India.
