Dav Whatmore is now almost sure to take charge of Indian cricketing team. However, cricket is a game of excitement and anything can happen anytime. The same goes for BCCI too.

At this moment, we do not hear of any other name beside Dav Whatmore who is considered for the post of Indian coach. Anyway, according media report, Dav Whatmore is going to visit India very soon and talk with BCCI officials about his future job. He is expected to make a presentation on his plan to take Indian team in the next level.

Even as the board members meet on June 4 in Bangalore to discuss and shortlist candidates for the top job, Times Now has learnt that Dav Whatmore is certain to visit India in the second week of June.

Whatmore is expected to meet the board officials and make a presentation. This after the Indian players have voted for the burly Australian. Of course, their first choice still remains Ravi Shastri but due to his media commitments, Shastri has refused the offer to continue after the Bangladesh tour.

Dav Whatmore has done wonders with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. He is perhaps the right coach for India. However, BCCI officials must give him total independence if they want to get the best out of him.
