AN OPEN LETTER TO KAPIL DEV

Hi Kapil,

Indian Cricket league is alright but the thinking is small. It is Subhash Chandera’s version for a retort to Sharad Pawar/BCCI for so called snatching his television rights of Cricket matches. Why not. Subhash Chandera is a resourceful baron (another KarryPekker) and can take a revenge the way he likes. He has pitched against BCCI. After some sort of the compromise in near future, He will back out, leaving everybody else in a lurch. Don’t you think, it’s a fight between two giants and people like you and me are being made to bear the burn.

I suggest that you may Rename the Indian Cricket League (ICL) to International Cricket League (Which still remain “ICL”) to hoodwink ICC and create country wise Cricket Leagues. All registered players, irrespective of their country of origin, may be grouped and play domestic cricket in a particular country ( at least 50% foreign players) and this may be done on rotation basis. This will add colour to the domestic cricket in each country and a boost to the promotion of the sport of cricket.

The Test Matches/international matches may be played in country wise (only the players of country be included) or continent wise (where the players from a continent may be included). The players who are off colour may be asked to cool the heals till they are in form, fit and fine to play. No need to experiment them in the international matches. They can practice in the domestic cricket to come in form. This will make the player to stay in form. The advertisement by the players be restricted and all advertiser must get in touch with the ICL. ICL will allow players to pose for ads and the revenue should go to ICL. ICL may share the same with the player(s) in some workable ratio and leaving something for providential purpose, so when a player is retired, he gets a lump sum. Without ICL permission no player should pose for ads. Player should be graded (like in tennis) and paid on the basis on their performance.

i dont know whether you go thru all these mails or not, but still going ahead and expressing my deepest desire of all time just for the sake of trying. i'm abonish das working engineer in delhi who plays only on sundays. but i've played for six years with Calcutta cricket coaching center in kolkatta.
i'm not going to ask a favor from you, i just wanted to know the procedure of selection, till now i've that confidence to perform in the field, its just a matter of time,(as i only play on sundays, so bit out of shape) to get into the rhythm. all my life i wanted to play cricket, but cause of financial problem i lefted, one need to earn to survive so if playing cricket as well as earning goes together i dont want to be an engineer.
i know this is not going to help, but just for my sake,i'm happy that i made some effort towards it doesnt matter if i dont suceed.

I am Vikas Kumar and a software engg. working in a MNC in gurgaon. I have all the abilitues to be a good cricketer. I am an allrounder. In my college days i was the captain for four years of my college team. I lead the team at State Level. The tournament was held in Vidisha(Bhopal).

ICL is a good opportunity for young guns. I think u r trying to develop cricket in all part of India. I think u dont know there are lots of amazing players in villages of Haryana but due to lack of opportunity they are unable to produce any result thus everything is in vain.
