On this Friday, the viewers will see the contestants of Indian Idol who took part in Kolkata audition. If I am not wrong then I guess that Kolkata audition took place on March 24, March 25 & March 26. So, we will be able to get a glimpse of the local talents. It seems that Kolkata youths entertained the Indian Idol judges in a great way and girls were some better than the boys.

The third edition of Indian Idol, a reality show from Sony Entertainment Television (SET), is getting good responsonse. The show, with the Cable & Satellite 4+ ratings of 3.7 across the country, reached over 27 million viewers within two days. SET will telecast the Kolkata audition of the show on May 18 at 9pm.
According to Udit Narayan, an eminent singer and one of the judges, "We have got some really good talents in Kolkata. The most interesting part is that women rank much higher in terms of participatuion, sincerity and earnestness. It is amazing to see the kind of confidence that youngsters have."
