Mahendra Singh Dhoni is undoutedly one of the most promising cricketers at this moment in India. However, this number 8 ranked ODI batsman has failed to click in the World Cup Cricket 2007. After the early exit of Indian cricket team from the world cup, the players and BCCI officials are under pressure from the cricket fans. Now, Team India will be back to the field through the upcoming Bangladesh tour which will start from May 10, 2007.
In World Cup Cricket 2007, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has scored duck in the two out of three matches. In total, he could score just 29 runs in three world cup matches at an average of 9.67.
As Mahendra Singh Dhoni could not do well in the recently past world cup cricket, he might be trying to make some big scores against Bangladesh. Dhoni has recently been named the “MTV Youth Icon for the year 2006.” I think, he will play an important role for India in the upcoming ODI and Test series against Bangladesh. Bangladeshi condition may help his style as Bangladeshi pitches are often batsman friendly.
Can Dhoni make the turn around in Indian tour of Bangladesh 2007?
He is going to hit with a bang this series. He will get back his position in ICC rankings
