You should not have any doubt about the greatness of Sachin Tendulkar as he has already set himself in such a height which others can only dream of. In the same way, Shivaji Park in Mumbai is the root of Sachin Tendulkar. Practicing in Shivaji Park in his childhood, Sachin became today’s great batsman Sachin Tendulkar. For your kind information, I would like to let you know that Sachin Tendulkar is not the only star Shivaji Park has presented yet. Rather some of the great cricketers of Indian cricket including Sunil Gavaskar, Ajit Agarkar, Pravin Amre, Vinod Kambli and Sanjay Manjarekar played in this ground in their childhood.

When Sachin Tendulkar was a boy of 11, he came in Shivaji Park for net practice. The place was the practice ground for Kamat club and Sharadashram schoolboys under the coaching of Ramakant Achrkar, a locally famous coach in junior cricket at that time. Though Sachin was not in the Sharadashram Vidyamandir School initially, his brother Ajit Tendulkar urged Achrekar to let his brother join the net practice. However, Sachin changed his former school Indian Education Society's New English School and joined Sharadashram Vidyamandir School later on. Sachin Tendulkar started playing school cricket for Sharadashram Vidyamandir School in 1984 and throughout his school life he continued playing there. Most importantly, Sachin Tendulkar continued his practice sessions in Shivaji Park under the coaching of Achrekar.
