The ascendency of India as an economic world power

Bollywood and Beyond Film Festival is going to be started its 2007 edition in Stutgart, Germany. About 60 Bollywood movies are expected to be screened in the festival. After the festival, awards in different categories will also be given. Films from all categories will be in the festival. Famous director Chetan Anand will be honored and his son Ketan will receive the honor on behalf of his late father. This festival will start from July 11.

Organised by the Baden-Wurttemberg Film Office, the movies that will be screened include works of independent Indian filmmakers as well as high-profile Bollywood productions.

This year approximately 60 films from all sections and category will be shown. Rajnesh Domalpalli's directorial debut "Vanaja" will be the highlight of the event, reported varietyasiaonline.com

The film is about a young woman's sexual awakening that examines caste, gender and sexuality in India and fetched the director golden bear for the best debut film at this year's Berlinale.

Bollywood and Beyond Film Festival started in 2004. Bollywood is getting popularity in Europe now as recently we have seen a grand award giving ceremony of IIFA in Yorkshire, Britain. Many countries are very much interested about Bollywood movies as it is a good source of getting more tourists from India.
