The ascendency of India as an economic world power

Mickey Arthur is the coach of South Africa. You know that in ODI, South Africa is one of the top 3 teams in the world has much better record than India in the recent months. Mickey Arthur has recently praised Sourav Ganguly and has said that Ganguly is a must for Indian ODI team. He feels that India can do better with Ganguly in the team.

Independent Online wrote:

"I personally think Sourav Ganguly in the squad gives a huge amount back to India," said Arthur.

"Sourav still has a presence, I think he's a quality player and it still mystifies me how he wasn't in the squad in South Africa," added Arthur of a batsman who in 293 one-day internationals has scored 10,838 runs at an average of just under 42 with 22 hundreds.

"I think he seems to have given a steely resilience back to India."

It is a pity that foreigners could understand the value of Sourav Ganguly but BCCI officials could not. In 2006, Greg Chappell (The Indian coach that time) and some BCCI officials tried every way to keep Ganguly out of the Indian team. It is time that they should come out some kind of explanation or publicly apologize to Sourav Ganguly.
