The ascendency of India as an economic world power

It’s not that Indian cricket team can win matches in foreign grounds frequently. Today, India recorded sweet and historic win in the second test against England at Trent Bridge. Since 1986, this is the second time that India could defeat England in a test match in England. So, you can imagine that it is a very sweet and memorable win for Indian cricket team.

In the first test of the three match series, rain came in India’s rescue and India could draw the match thanks to the blessing of nature. However, in the second test, it was a different ball game altogether. India dominated from the first day and defeated England in a convincing fashion.

India eased to a seven-wicket win over England in the second test at Trent Bridge on Tuesday to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

The tourists, resuming on 10 without loss, reached their victory target of 73 for the loss of Dinesh Karthik, Wasim Jaffer and Sachin Tendulkar in the morning session on the fifth and final day.

Today, millions of Indian fans are happy and they are celebrating this success. However, Indian players must not get carried away too much from this success. They must practice hard in the remaining few days before the start of the third and final test. They must try their best to win the series.
