
You have seen a drama over Indian coach selection in the month of June. Now, it seems that another drama is going to be staged in the month of July. Recently, BCCI has disclosed a short list of three coaches including Dave Nosworthy, the present coach of New Zealand A and Canterbury, former Sri Lanka coach John Dyson and Queensland coach Terry Oliver. The surprising part is that Dave Nosworthy got surprised to see his name in the list but according to BCCI officials they received his application with CV.

Nosworthy said he knew nothing about his name being shortlisted and claimed his London-based agent must have sent his biodata and application through to the Indian board without his knowledge.

To be honest, there might have a series of questions unanswered regarding the matter. However, let us hope that there will be no drama this time with the coach selection. Earlier, BCCI’s drama started when they exclude Dav Whatmore’s name from the list and even Whatmore was not given a chance to appear for the interview. Then BCCI appointed Graham Ford for the job but Ford turned it down. So, you can see there were so many characters and too much climax but nothing was good for Indian cricket.
