The ascendency of India as an economic world power

2007 is not a good year for Bollywood movies. We have not any big hit so far this year. 2006 was a great year as a number of movies did very good business. Now, many people are hopeful that the draught in the box office may end in this August. Two movies are expected to do well in August 2007.

As India celebrates 60 years of independence, the country's biggest superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will step up the tempo to rekindle patriotic fervour with Chak De India and Marigold respectively.

 

While Shah Rukh, known as the King of Bollywood, will be seen goading a team of women hockey players for a world championship in Chak De India, Salman will essay the role of an Indian man who steals the heart of a foreign belle who arrives in India with a "bad attitude" and transforms her.

In Chak De India, we will see Shah Rukh Khan as a women’s hockey coach. He inspires his girls to work hard and snatch international glory for India. This is the first movie of Shah Rukh Khan to be released in 2007. So, many Shah Rukh fans will surely flock to the cinema halls to see his acting.

On the other hand, Salman Khan will be in a role in Marigold- a Choreographer. This is the first time that Salman Khan is going to act in a Hollywood movie. The movie has an Indian story and many Salman fans would love to see their favorite hero.
