The UK-based Cobra Beer, which has an annual turnover of 126 million pounds and is exporting to 50 countries worldwide, started its operations in Rajasthan at the Shivalika Brewery in January 2005.
"We set a target of reaching one million cases a year within three years but we achieved it in two years," Lord Bilimoria said.
As the sales started taking off last November, "we started producing in four locations instead of one in Rajasthan. We started producing in Goa, UP and
Bihar ."We have now got two more sites -- in two new states which we will be announcing soon. They are one each in East India and
Central India . We are starting work on ourGreenfield site inPunjab for which feasibility study has been completed," he said.
This is a smart move from Lord Bilimoria. Indian economy is growing and Cobra Beer can expect to have its sales increasing fast in Indian market. It is a great time to invest in
