Indian Cricket League (ICL) From 30 November 2007

At last, we have some concrete informational about Indian cricket league (ICL). Today, it was announced that Indian cricket league will start from 30 November 2007. Kapil Dev is hopeful that ICL will entertain cricket fans. You already know ICL will start with a Twenty20 tournament. Now, we know that there will be twenty matches in this tournament and Tau Devi Lal Cricket Stadium, Panchkula, Chandigarh will be the venue for these twenty matches.

 

I am happy that ICL organizers have found a venue and ICL is going to take place in the field at last. However, I am surprised that ICL organizers have decided to host their tournament when India and Pakistan will be playing their test series. I like to remind the readers that from 30 November, the second test between India and Pakistan will start at Kolkata.

 

 

Let us see if ICL can attract cricket fans in large number.

They are looking for a way out.

This will give them an opportunity to blame lack of patronage and get out of the mess.
