The ascendency of India as an economic world power

The 15th Quality Summit of the CII Institute of Quality was inaugurated on Thursday. In the summit the speakers came up with new models of future business in India. Vice-President of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), K.V. Kamath stated that the next challenge was to bring success involving 600,000 villages so that the villagers could be beneficial besides the companies. In the keynote speech, K.V. Kamath insisted on innovation to work in the rural areas and finding new horizons to get the best out of the business.

Delivering the keynote address at the inauguration of the 15th Quality Summit of the CII Institute of Quality on the theme “People to Profit: Driving Performance through Organisational Excellence”, Mr. Kamath cited the example of his organisation to show how important it was for companies to look at innovation and new models to tap the rural market where business activity would be migrating in a big way, and said “innovation is essential for sustainable growth and will prove to be the distinguishing factor for the organisation”.

Indian market is ever increasing and its economy is getting strong gradually. However, still the village areas are underdeveloped in India. So, this it is right time to work for the development of rural market.
