The ascendency of India as an economic world power

Rahul Dravid is famous for his role in number 3 position. He has scored many runs batting in that position in test cricket. Now, it seems that Rahul Dravid may open in the Australia vs India 1^st Test. Australia is a tough place to play and Indian batsmen suffer a lot in the fast and bouncy pitches here. Today, Rahul Dravid opened the innings in the warm up match against Victoria. The main goal is to remain in the wicket against vicious Australian bowling.

But the former captain opened the innings against Victoria at the Junction Oval here Thursday after the tourists opted against playing specialist openers, Virender Sehwag and Dinesh Karthik.

I am not in favor of this idea. Rahul Dravid is very successful in batting at number 3 position. Changing his position may destroy his natural skill and may bring harm to Indian campaign in Australia.
