After the release of two high profile diwali movies- Om Shanti Om and Saawariya, now Tare Zameen Par and Dus Kahaniyan are in the queue. Both the movies are slated to be released later this month. With these two high profile year-end movies, trade analysts are now hoping that the revenue collection of 2007 will go near to the collection of 2006.
No doubt, Bollywood has experienced very few hit films this year compared to some of the block buster movies of last year. So, according to the trade analysts, this year might be a bad one for Bollywood. However, the overall success of this year mayl greatly depend on the success of the two upcoming movies- Tare Zameen Par and Dus Kahaniyan.
Business Standard reported:
An analysis of the top-20 grossers for Bollywood (released between January 1- December 31) suggests that in 2006 the domestic box-office collections were to the tune of Rs 806 crore against an estimated investments of about Rs 470 crore.
But for the current year, the first 11 months have witnessed collections of about Rs 602 crore, so far, against an estimated investments of about Rs 490 crore.
Even a head-to-head comparison of some of the biggest Hindi-films grossers of 2006 and the current year shows a dip in box-office collections.
I think, there were many blockbuster movies released last year including Krrish, Dhoom-2, Fanna. However, this year, most of the movies were average hit and there was hardly any block buster. Still, it is very difficult to predict if Aamir Khan directorial debut Tare Zameen Par can bring out a huge box office success.

Aamir khan acted and directed new upcoming movie Tare Zameen Par has already made many hope to their fans. now, most of his fans are eagerly waiting to see the movie. Here, he acted in a different role. so, i think it will be another profitable movie this year.
