Giving birth to a child is perhaps the most beautiful thing for any woman in the world. Well, no one wants the mother to die while giving birth to a baby. Unfortunately, maternal deaths are quite common in third world countries. In fact, nearly half a million mothers dies around the world from this. It is sad and I think that it is even sadder to note that 20% of world maternal deaths take place in

India

India is no longer a very poor country. Its economy is growing and the income of the people is also increasing. Well, the problem is that the income of some people is increasing fast in some big cities while most people in the rural areas are suffering and do no have access to basic facilities of life. Many people cannot afford to go to a hospital in many parts of India. So, there is little hope of that the situation regarding maternal deaths would improve in India in the next few years unless Indian government takes this matter seriously.

i am happy that Indian government at last has taken some major steps to reduce maternal deaths. I also think that baby who lost her/his mother after taking birth in the world. And no one child hope to face that type of crutial incident. So, at that time not only Indian govt but also general people should be aware about maternal death.
