The ascendency of India as an economic world power

India-based automobile company, Tata Motors has recently sold 500 mini trucks in Sri Lanka. Diesel & Motor Engineering PLC (DIMO) is distributing Tata vehicles in Sri Lanka. Tata entered in to Sri Lankan market last year and so far Tata has already sold out 5000 vehicles in Sri Lanka.

The Economic Times reported:

It said the mini-truck became one of the most successful stories of re-branding in the automobile history of Sri Lanka.
"The single most amazing feature of all is its unparallelled fuel efficiency of 20 km per litre, while adhering to Bharat-Stage-2 emission standards," DIMO said.
The reason of its fuel economy is the Batta's compact engine (700cc) and the vehicle weighing a mere 805kg.

It is really a positive side for India’s auto industry. With the global expansion of Indian companies, Indian economy is witnessing positive growth. So, Indian government should come forward with some initiatives in order to ensure the world wide expansion of companies like Tata.
