Delhi DareDevils, the official name of IPL’s Delhi Franchise, has formed a balanced squad including some world class cricketers. Captained by Virender Sehwag, the icon player of the side, Delhi DareDevils will be coached by Greg Shipperd. The squad has a strong batting and bowling line up with Dinesh Karthik behind the wicket. The squad includes two solid openers- Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir. South African batsmen AB de Villiers can also be effective as an opener in Twenty20 format.
Shoaib Malik and Tillakaratne Dilshan are experienced in the middle order, while the youngster Manoj Tiwary could be effective in the middle order. Wicketkeeper batsmen Dinesh Karthik has an important role to play in the middle order Delhi DareDevils. Bowling all rounder Farveez Maharoof has the ability to serve well at the end.
However, the bowling line up of Delhi DareDevils is much more impressive with the pace attack including Mohammad Asif and former Australian great Glenn McGrath. Farveez Maharoof has the ability to support McGrath and Asif well. Their spin attack is also strong. Left arm spinner Daniel Vettori can bowl tidy and has the ability of bringing break through at the crucial time. Shoaib Malik and Tillakaratne Dilshan can help him with their off spin bowling.
