IPL is going to start in April 2008. Well, this is not a very good time for cricket in India as the weather is hot. However, the format is Twenty20 and most matches will take place in the afternoon or in the evening.

The main challenge will be to keep the interest of the people. The clubs have been named according to eight cities and BCCI officials are hoping that this will create a lot of interest among cricket fans in those cities. Well, I am skeptic about this matter. India already has a domestic tournament called Ranji Trophy that has failed to generate any huge interest among cricket fans.
