The ascendency of India as an economic world power

After the end of the second day of India vs South Africa ongoing first test, the touring side now has an edge over India. South Africa had posted a huge total of 540 losing all the wickets before Indian opening batsmen put on 82 runs at the stump of the day. India still trials by 458 runs and needs 258 more to avoid follow on. Though it would be a bit early to say that the test is going towards a draw, it would be fair enough to comment that batsmen dominated the first two days of the test.
