Many of us think that heart disease is mainly for the rich people. To some extent, it is true as heart disease is caused mainly from lack of physical activities and having a bad diet. Rich people can afford to buy a lot of meat and they eat a lot of meat and oil and many rich people developed heart disease. In fact, more than 7 million people die in the world every year from this disease.
Until now, heart disease was not a major concern for Indian people. The sad part is that heart disease is growing steadily in India and rich and poor people both are suffering in the similar way from this disease. The rich people have unhealthy diet and life style and that is why they suffer. On the other hand, many poor people are addicted to smoking tobacco and this is also a big threat for their health. In addition to that, most poor people do not have access to basic health facilities in India. So, heart disease is becoming a major cause of concern for Indian population. In think that Indian government and media should come forward and carry out some awareness program so that people become more conscious about hearth disease.
