It is rather early to talk about monsoon rain. I think there is another six weeks left before the start of moon soon in India. You know that monsoon rain is the most important factor for agriculture in India and other neighboring South Asian countries. A good rainfall is good for annual agricultural production. On the other hand, shortage in rainfall may cause devastation in agriculture.
The good news for Indian farmers is that there is prediction for monsoon rain for 2008 is that rainfall is normal. Normal means that it will be good for the agriculture. If there is too much rain then it can cause a lot of damage for the agriculture too. So, a normal rain forecast is something that should give some hope to the Indian farmers and Indian people in general. Indian people are now fighting against inflation and the news of normal rain forecast can be a good thing to fight against inflation.
