For the last few years, all the attention of the world media was focused on the high economic growth of India. Indian economy is still growing fast but these days, it is the high inflation rate in the country that is making headlines. The price of food and essential items is increasing at an alarming rate and ordinary people are suffering.

It seems that the high inflation may have a damaging impact on the economic growth and may slow down high economic growth in the country. Asian Development Bank has this kind of prediction about Indian economy. There is another fear for Indian economy- possible impact of the slowdown in the US economy.
