Africa is the poorest continent in the world and many people do not take the continent very seriously. Africa is mainly considered to be a place to supply raw materials for developed countries. Africa may be poor but it is rich in natural resources. Europe and America were interested about Africa until now. Recently, China has been aggressively pushing towards more economic co-operation with African countries. Now India is also trying for the same.
Indian and some African countries held a summit in Indian capital New Delhi. There, African countries wanted to see more investment from India. On the other hand, India wants more supply of natural resources from the African countries. India needs a lot of oil to sustain its economic growth. So, India is actively pushing for more economic co-operation with African countries.
