You know that Indian Premier League is going at full swing now. The first week has finished and many people are interested about IPL matches. We can see thousands of people in the stadiums and millions more are watching IPL matches from all over the world through their television sets. Now, if you have watched any IPL matches, then sexy cheerleaders are greeting the crowd and TV audience. Most of the time, they are wearing very short dress which does not go that well with Indian culture and society.
This has caused a lot of debate in India. Some political leaders have objected to this by arguing that having sexy cheerleaders in short dress is against Indian culture. Even some people in the media reacted negatively about this matter. So, the matter has created a lot of debate and even Indian police is perhaps looking at it that whether the sexy cheerleaders in short dress is against the law or not. The only person who has come forward until now openly is Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan who is also the owner of an IPL franchise. Shah Rukh Khan felt that there was nothing wrong in what cheerleaders were doing.
I sometimes get astonished with the reaction of Indian media. In Bollywood movies these days, you can see much worse than what the cheerleaders are doing in IPL. So, I feel that there should be consistent attitude towards this kind of thing in the media.
