Indian Premier League matches are now taking a heavy toll from the local theaters, cinema and television channels. The cricket crazy Indian fans have found IPL Twenty20 tournament as very good refreshing tool. Timing suits the working people and because of its three hour matches, people do not get bored. So, the IPL matches have come as complete entertaining bonanza to many cricket fans in India.
Now, the problem is that because of this Twenty20 tournament, cinemas, theaters and other TV programs are losing viewers. Recently, a multi-starrer Yashraj production, Tashan, has failed to attract people to the cinema halls in the evening shows. Even, Shah Rukh Khan hosted television show 'Kya Aap Pachvi Paas se Tez hain' on Star Plus failed to get enough attention from the viewers.

Even Shah Rukh Khan's new game show 'Kya Aap Pachvi Paas se Tez hain' on Star Plus could not manage to get attention of the cricket crazy audiences.
Star Plus sources said the fresh Television Audience Measurement (TAM) ratings are expected in a day or two. However, till April 22, the IPL dominated the TAM ratings.
So, it seems to be a competition between cricket and showbiz world. Now, let us see who are going to win the race.
