Measles is not a deadly disease any more in most parts of the world but for Indian children, it is still a bad disease and many children in India get affected with this disease every year. You know that to prevent any disease, a vaccine is developed. There is a vaccine for Measles too. The good part is that measles vaccine has saved millions of lives in India in last three years.
Now, a measles vaccine has caused a lot of debate in India as there have been reports of some deaths of some children from the vaccine. Four babies had died in Indian state of Tamil Nadu after receiving measles vaccine. This has caused this massive recall and there is worry that the number of death may increase. However, more tests needs to be carried out to be sure about the cause of death and about the harmfulness of this measles vaccine. Indian government should take this matter very seriously because measles is a bad disease
