Now, Bharti Airtel is contemplating on the idea of buying 51% share of MTN.
MTN is the leading telecom company in Africa and it is active in 21 countries. So, if Bharti Airtel can buy MTN then Bharti Airtel will be able to expand its business operations in many countries of Asia and Africa. There is report that Airtel may have to pay $19 billion for 51% share of MTN. Well, if it happens then it will be the biggest purchase from any Indian company.
