Earlier today, Chennai Super Kings emerged as the fourth team to confirm semi final place in Indian Premier League (IPL). They played again Deccan Chargers and they needed to win this match to confirm semi-finals place. The match took place at the home ground of Deccan Chargers and that is why, there was a decent possibility that Deccan Chargers might cause an upset.
There was no upset and Deccan Chargers lost the match by 7 wickets. Well, Deccan Chargers is in the last position in the point table and for them, this match had no significance. They would have remained in the last position anyway. This win means that Chennai Super Kings now is in the third position in IPL point table. It may have made the fans of Chenni Super Kings very happy but it has broken the heart of many fans of Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians now has no chance of playing in the semi-finals of IPL 2008.
