It seems that today, I am in a mood of writing about cars. In my earlier entry, I wrote about the plan of Skoda to produce a small and inexpensive car in India within the next two years. Skoda is taking the Indian market seriously and Skoda officials have decided to try to make a stronger presence in the Indian market. They are going to introduce 8 new models in India in the next few months.

Volkswagen group company Skoda is planning to expand its product portfolio and will introduce a number of new cars in India that will see it entering into new segments such as multi-purpose vehicles (MPV) and the sports utility vehicles (SUV).
Skoda plans to introduce its Roomster multi-utility vehicle by the end 2008 while Fabia Combi, a longer version of the hatchback, and a new Superb sedan built on parent company Volkswagen's B6 platform will be launched by mid 2009. In 2010, the company will launch the Yeti sport utility vehicle.
The only thing I feel that Skoda officials in India should focus is more and better promotion. They should allocate some more money and resources for advertising their cars.
