Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly are considered to be the pillars of Indian cricket team. They have been playing for India foir quite sometime. Sachin started playing in 1989 and he is still the number one batsman for Indian team. Ganguly and Dravid are also playing for over one decade and they have performed consistently for their country.
The interesting thing is that all these players captained their own sides in IPL and all of them have failed. I mean, their clubs have failed to reach the semi-finals of IPL 2008. So, you may wonder about their future. Of course, Twenty20 is still a new format in cricket and it does not suit old players like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly.
I think that Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Sourav Ganguly can play in Test Cricket for another 1-2 years. In fact, there are no good replacement players for them in India at this moment. This is something that should make BCCI officials worried.

It is true that in longer version cricket. Sachin, Sourav and Dravid are still the main strength of Indian batting line up and no doubt, BCCI bosses can not delighted with this fact. All the three players are in their mid-30s and they may not continue playing cricket more than next two years. I agree with you that the three great batsmen are less effective in Twenty20 format.
