In my earlier entry, I wrote that Indian government was considering increasing price of fuel for the consumers. This is going to be an unpopular move. Many ordinary people will get badly affected from this. Well, Indian government is helpless too. The price of oil in international market has increased a lot in 2008.
What can Indian government do against rising oil price? I have two suggestions for them. Firstly, Indian officials should arrange a massive media campaign about the rise in international price of oil and urge people to consume less fuel. This may encourage some people to become cautious about using fuel and even may encourage some people not to waste any fuel unnecessarily. The second thing Indian officials can do is to invest a lot of resources on alternative energy sources like biogas and wind power.
