Skoda Auto is a Czech Republic car maker and it is a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group. Skoda is present in Indian market and it came in Indian market a few years ago. It has a manufacturing plant in India and at first, it focused on luxury cars. It saw some success in the luxury car segment. However, now, Skoda has realized the potential of Indian market and that is why they are focusing a lot on small and inexpensive cars.

Skoda India is big plans for India and they are aiming to sell 100,000 cars annually beginning 2012 in this market.
This is a smart move from Skoda. India is ideal for small inexpensive cars. If Skoda wants to get the best out of this market then it would have act according to the market condition.
